Find a Driving Instructor

Learning to DriveWhen it comes to finding a good driving instructor you need to be able to choose from all the tutors in your local area. You should ideally be looking for a patient teacher that you feel comfortable being in a car with.

Different driving schools offer different services which can include fast pass and intensive courses, theory test preperation, practical test preperation, pass plus courses and more. Please check with your chosen instructor what services they offer.

Also watch out for speacial deals on block bookings. This is where you may get 11 lessons for the price of 10.

How to get started

Learner DriverSo what exactly do you need to get started ? First of all you will need to apply for your provisional driving licence. Once you have this you are then legally allowed on the roads (with an instructor of course).

Just find an Approved Driving Instructor. An ADI is a UK term for someone who has been tested and registered by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA). This means you're getting an approved instructor but please check as not all driving instructors have this qualification. If you find an instructor that is not ADI then they're not allowed to charge money for lessons!
